Society is failing too many children. But we can do better. A difficult home life. A missed diagnosis. A disrupted education. Falling in with the wrong crowd. Every year thousands of children fall through the cracks in our society and become victims of a destructive cycle that ends in exploitation, violence, and lost life chances. As Commissioner for Children in England, Anne Longfield CBE witnessed the devastating effects of this cycle as vulnerable young people were failed by systems too underfunded and overstretched to protect them. Young Lives, Big Ambitions is an action plan to fix our broken system and give every young person the chance to succeed.
This is my 2nd book of poetry. I began writing these poems, shortly after my 1st book was published in May 2008. From that date to now (2014), I have written numerous poems, many of which I have included in this body of work. Once again, I bring to you the realities of the world, words that will, as my motto goes Inspire, Motivate & Encourage the World One Poem/Positive Vibe at a Time. It is my sincere hope that you can find hope, peace, love, understanding, laughter or joy in my selection of poems. GOD gifted me with this talent and it is my duty to share it with you all. As one of my poems is entitled, MY PASSION IS MY PURPOSE. I give you a little twist this time, adding in some Love poems, hence Love~N~Life Poetry. In Multipreneurship: Diversification in Times of Crisis, Nick Harkiolakis argues against the more commonly held view that diversification at the level of the individual entrepreneur, rather than that of the established corporation, is the wrong business strategy to pursue in times of economic crisis. He contends that entrepreneurship always proves, in almost every circumstance and every part of the world, to be a way out of economic straits and it is widely accepted as the primary force that helps produce self-sufficiency, social inclusion, job creation, capital formation, and skills acquisition. Threats to job stability in today’s economic climate are expected to trigger latent entrepreneurship that could lead to re-investment of social capital to generate financial capital. Cash nowadays might not be the main value-added commodity. In an information society some of the basic ingredients of successful entrepreneurship, such as confidence and social capital might be equally important. Contrary to received wisdom in relation to SME diversification, the ability to run a group of businesses as a profit ecosystem rather than business units might prove to be beneficial in volatile economic times. If conditions improve one can always focus on growth of the most profitable and promising units. Yet in unstable economic times, resorting to back-up alternatives away from the mainstream business of organizations might be a solution to sustainable development.

This monograph highlights the educational experiences of rural children who are 'left behind' by their migrant worker parents in China, analyzing how this situation impacts on their aspirations and self-identity. Via an ethnographic and qualitative case study of a rural school in southwest China, the author presents the real lives of these disadvantaged children along with their challenges and needs, and provides an in depth understanding of how being ‘left behind’ impacts on their future aspirations. Building on the sociological theories of Pierre Bourdieu, the author makes an original contribution by combining seemingly incompatible disciplinary perspectives, such as cultural capital from sociology, rational action from behavioral economics, and self-efficacy from psychology. Hence, the book endeavors to transfer these Western theories to an Eastern context and demonstrates cultural nuances that are not always captured when applied in the West. The book will attract academic scholars and postgraduate students in the area of socially disadvantaged children and young people as well as those who are working on youth studies and rural education.
