DOWNLOAD EBOOKDr Masters here answers the arguments used by healers in support of their methods. He explains Bible teaching on what demons can and cannot do, and how James 5 should be implemented in churches today. He also proves that the conscious mind should always be switched on for spiritual activities. Included is a brilliant assessment of miraculous healing by a leading British medical professor.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKMy own private opinion is that there is no such thing as preaching Christ and him crucified, unless you preach what now-a-days is called Calvinism. It is a nickname to call it Calvinism; Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else. I do not believe we can preach the gospel, if we do not preach justification by faith, without works; nor unless we preach the sovereignty of God in his dispensation of grace; nor unless we exalt the electing, unchangeable, eternal, immutable, conquering, love of Jehovah: nor do I think we can preach the gospel, unless we base it upon the peculiar redemption which Christ made for his elect and chosen people; nor can I comprehend a gospel which lets saints fall away after they are called, and suffers the children of God to be burned in the fires of damnation after having believed. Such a gospel I abhor. The gospel of the Bible is not such a gospel. We preach Christ crucified in a different fashion, and to all gainsayers we reply. "We have not so learned Christ." DOWNLOAD EBOOKThese remarkable letters, written from a suffering pastor to his congregation, abound in exhortations to godliness, zeal and prayer. They provide a unique insight into Spurgeons life, and into the fervent soul-winning activity which was, alongside the preaching, a leading feature of an historic Calvinistic church. Notes on Spurgeons ministry set the letters in context, and several classic sermonettes written during sickness are included, along with 16 pages of colour pictures of original letters. - Publisher.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKExcerpt from My Sermon-Notes: A Selection From Outlines of Discourses, Delivered at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, With Anecdotes and Illustrations These outlines were not written to be used as they are. True, they may be filled up with choice original matter, and employed as frameworks in their present form; but more probably they will be taken to pieces and built up in another shape, or they will be cut in halves, or por tions of them will be united with other materials. I hope to lend a handful of chips and shavings, or, if you will, a bundle of firewood, to a brother, with which he may kindle a fire on his own hearth, and prepare food for his people. Possibly a lazy brother may boil his own pot with my sticks, but even that I shall not deplore so long as the food is well cooked. Should I be so unfortunate as to be a helper to the utterly idle man, by tempting him to gather no fuel of his own, I shall not even then view the matter with despair, for perhaps the idler may burn his fingers in the operation; and I shall fall back upon the consideration that he would have taken wood from some other pile if he had not met with mine. A man will do no great harm with my fagots if he will use holy fire: the truths which are contained in these Notes will injure no man if they be honestly allowed to speak for themselves. DOWNLOAD EBOOKCharles Haddon Spurgeon passed away on January 31, 1892, but the influence of his faith lives on. He is not the Forgotten Spurgeon. Besides, he has been called the Prince of Preachers, the Heir of the Puritans, the Peoples Preacher, the Preacher who had Communion with Christ and his people, and one who lived by revealed truth. It is the studied purpose of this author to offer a documentary history of Spurgeon and the working church, to show that Spurgeon believed wholeheartedly in a healthy balance between doctrine and practice, by selecting the addresses, sermons, and testimonies that best cover the twenty-five years of Spurgeons pastorate and the working church at the Metropolitan Tabernacle from 185479. This current publication incorporates primary source material from the Metropolitan Tabernacle Minute Books of Church & Annual Church Meetings 185482, The Sword and the Trowel, and the Memorial Volume, 1879.
