God is our deliverance. He is not the means or the method of deliverance, but He IS Deliverance. If we want deliverance, we need God – but not an idea or the thought or religion about God, but God Himself. We need God in our lives and we need to abide in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to secure our deliverance and to walk in deliverance. Jesus is the Way of our Deliverance for He is the Truth and the Life. In this series, we explore what is true deliverance – pertaining to the spirit, soul and body. We look at the scope and nature of such deliverance. We divide the truth from the myriad of lies, misconceptions, fallacies and erroneous teachings regarding deliverance. For all disciples are called to know what is true deliverance, how to engage in the spiritual war and how to set the captives free.
Volumes one and two of Revival and Awakenings (part of the End-Time Series) explore what is a real revival and a spiritual awakening. Prophetically, it delves into what God has been saying for a long time, which is that the Lord will sweep the earth with revival in the end times which will ignite many followers with His holy fire. What will this revival look like? This is the big question, and one would rather say it will not be a singular event, but a sequence of Godly movements across the globe that will be infectious, contagious and real. In an awakening, the Holy Spirit gives unbelieving people - who are dead in their trespasses and sins -a new awareness of their needs. A revival is connected to the people of God and it is when those who are in churches - those who are professing believers - are ministered to by the Holy Spirit in such a way that they are renewed in their devotion to the Lord. The time is ripe for the one final great harvest, yet this calls for the revived church, full of the fire of the Holy Spirit, to go into the fields, to awaken the lost and the forgotten and broken, and to bring them into the loving embrace of a God who is full of compassion, grace and mercy. This is the time of spiritual latter rains, and now is the time to welcome the embrace of a God who is real, alive, and who calls us all into His arms to reflect His beauty and greatness. It is not God’s Will that any soul should perish, but that all men should come to the knowledge of God and be saved. God is calling on all believers to cast their net in the deep for the harvest of souls.
Several years ago, the Lord spoke clearly in my spirit about the intense season the Church is about to face. At the time I understood this will not be a short season, but might very well run until He comes. In this time, we are trusting in the Lord for the end-time revival but make no mistake, times are going to be brutal for those who follow God. As a confirmation of this reality, God in 2024 spoke of the bulls of Bashan. As I sought the Lord on this truth, I became acutely aware of the incredible dangers that await those who wish to stand with God. In Psalm 22:12 David, in his distress, laments, “Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.” The picture of being surrounded by angry bulls, intent on goring and trampling their victim, is fearful indeed. Trouble was near, and there was no one to help him (Psalm 22:11). Despite these fearsome circumstances, David knew that God was not far off. God could deliver David’s soul from these threats. God is raising an end-time remnant for a time such as this. They obey God and not man. They fear not the devil. They listen to God, follow His truth and seek His will. They dismiss the devil’s lies and choose to stand with the Light as darkness continues to intensify upon the earth. Yes, they shall overcome the bulls of Bashan (demonic and worldly threats and dangers). This end-time remnant is facing extreme attack, and I believe more than ever since the resurrection of Jesus. Ultimately, if we as children of God want to survive the bulls of Bashan – the spiritual and the physical ‘giants’ - we need to abide in the Lord. We need to remain connected to the Vine (John 15). We need to become true disciples, grow up in the Spirit, and grow in God’s wisdom, truth and knowledge. If we are not grounded in the Lord, we will be swept away by the storms and be gorged by the bulls. After all, these bulls are waiting for an opportunity to strike. It is critical to remain connected to God, for then we are connected to life, hope, vision, joy and life!
In America, you have the SWAT unit. A SWAT (special weapons and tactics) team is a law enforcement unit that uses specialized or military equipment and tactics. So, why are we talking about SWAT? Because in the Body of Christ, we also need to become disciples of God warriors who are trained in spiritual warfare and tactics). We need to know how this spiritual warfare works, what are our weapons and we must know how to use them. We are called to be warriors of discernment, of knowing the tactics of the enemy, of adopting God’s strategy in spiritual warfare and employing God’s weapons of warfare. God is calling for a remnant to take up “arms”, meaning walking in their spiritual authority to set the captives free, bind up the broken-hearted and proclaim the wonderful news of Christ that still sets free and redeems. Believers have been empowered to be part of the end-time remnant of SWAT warriors by the Spirit and Word of God. We have been granted authority by Jesus! So all disciples are called to heal the sick, cast out demons, and preach the Gospel. We can bring light and liberty to those walking in darkness. As disciples, we have all been called and sent out in the Lord's stead to do His work.
When Jesus departed to be with His eternal Father, He gave the church (the ecclesia) a clear mission statement in Matthew 28, which speaks of the Great Commission. And what is the Great Commission, therefore, the mission? Go and make disciples so that the world may be told of Jesus and, therefore, be saved. Some will say some translations never speak of making disciples, but rather to teach all nations, “baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”. But is the purpose of teaching the nations of Christ not to make disciples? If one teaches someone about Jesus, you are surely equipping them to be a follower of Jesus. And such a follower is a disciple. We are called in God's wisdom and by His Spirit to teach all people about Jesus, for the purpose of making disciples. It doesn’t happen automatically. It will take a concerted and decisive effort of the Bride of God. Time is, however, slipping away to get our house in order with God, and now is the time to do so. We are living in the last days, and the day of the Lord’s coming is at hand. Billions of people are still lost in every city, town, and village across the world. There is no more time to be playing church or to be consumed with our agendas. We need to come into alignment with God, seek Him, and be awake from our slumber. The church has been slumbering for a long time, lulled into sleep by a false sense of security, peace and a sense of accomplishment. Yet there is a mission to complete, which is the Great Commission. It is God’s mission of bringing in the harvest of the lost and broken. Now is the time to get busy with God’s business, and His business is about salvation, redemption and restoration. The call to the church to actively engage in this mission, therefore, to make the main thing the main thing, is covered in volumes one and two.

The word Disciple in Greek is transliterated mathetes (literally, the learning one) and is derived from the verb manthano which means “to learn”. It means “one who learns instruction from another‟, or a disciple is likened to an apprentice who learns from his master tradesman. Thus, a disciple is a person that not only gains knowledge from the teacher but also acts upon it. This series offers a deeper insight into how to be a disciple, therefore, it offers a blueprint of what it means to follow the Lord. It is about embracing God’s Kingdom, His will, His way and His truth.

In the Old Testament, the prophet would guide the king, therefore the people, by speaking the will of God, and many times the will of God will include correction, judgment and warnings. Prophets were often ignored in the Old Testament, while even back in those days among the true prophets you found many speaking deceptions and lies. Today, nothing has changed, because God does not change (Hebrews 13:8). Prophets are still called to lead the corporate church by speaking and declaring the will, the purpose and the mandate of God. What the prophet utters may contain correction or judgment, or it may speak of encouragement, direction or wisdom. Prophets still speak to nations, or even to a multitude of nations, declaring the will of God not just unto the Church but unto secular leaders as to warn, to guide, to direct and to declare the heart and mind of God. Thus from the old to the new, nothing has changed in regard to the prophet. Yet the office is often misunderstood, and also shrouded in mystery, erroneous perceptions and terrible abuse. This series divides the truth from the myriad of lies, misconceptions, fallacies and erroneous teachings regarding the prophetic.
The spiritual war is real, make no mistake about this reality. War is defined as a state of armed conflict between different countries or different groups within a country. The spiritual battle can be defined as a war for there is a conflict between the Kingdom of God and the already defeated yet functioning kingdom of the devil. Truth is, we are all involved in this war, unintentionally or intentionally, as believers or non-believers. As gravity affects all on earth, so does the spiritual war impact our lives daily from the rising to the setting of the sun. Let us be equipped, empowered and trained in knowledge to understand the war and its manifold ramifications on humanity.
