This expansion of Technical Paper No. 24, Parts 1 and 2, is a part of a Weather Bureau project to portray the rainfall intensity-duration-frequency regime of the United States.
This report has been prepared for the Airfields Branch, Engineering Division, Military Construction, Office of the Chief of Engineers, to provide rainfall intensity-frequency data for design criteria in estimating required capacities of drainage systems for various types of military installations. These data consist of 5 to 240-minute rainfall intensities expected to be equaled or exceeded on an average of once in 2, 5, and 10 years.
