This catalog displays the great wealth of publicly owned oil paintings in the vast county of North Yorkshire. Over 2,700 paintings are reproduced in color from 41 collections. This includes all the oils from the municipal galleries in York, Harrogate and Scarborough together with 483 paintings from the National Railway Museum, almost all of which are in store.
