C., On Thursday, May 2nd, 1861; With the Minutes of the Synodical Missionary Society Appended The Evangelical Lutheran Synod of North Carolina, convened in the city of Wilmington, on Thursday morning, at 10 o'clock, May 2d, 1861. The Synodical Sermon was delivered by the President, from Luke xxiv, 25, 26. "Then he said unto them, O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory." After an intermission of two hours, Synod again assembled and was opened with singing and prayer by the President.
