'Effortless humour and bucketloads of charm. It's impossible not to be bowled over by the ending. Most definitely my favourite celebrity memoir in a long time. Brilliant.' - THE SUN **The hilarious debut from I'm A Celeb star Joel Dommett (Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Impractical Jokers), for fans of Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Sarah Millican** As a 17-year-old virgin working . . . for Virgin, Joel Dommett has grand ambitions. Firstly, he is going to swap suburbia for the bright lights of Showbiz. Secondly, he is going to find 'the one' in the first forty people he's going to sleep with. What follows is a series of disastrous romantic encounters, including carpets mistaken for toilets, futile grand gestures and the catfishing to end all catfishing. Featuring genuine teenage diary entries and told in Joel's trademark self-deprecating style, this is the brilliant first book from the UK's most exciting comedian.
To all my dear readers In 2020 I have decided to write my autobiography, which I had in mind for 20years. When Covid 19 hit us and made us to just sit at home ,so I have decided to take this opportunity and let my dream for so long come to the reality. First I have started to write it in Farsi , with the thought to translate it later in English and Dutch but I never thought that as time passes by I will decide to do it just in English and Dutch . So ,after a year I started to just write it in English then a good Dutch friend got on board with me to translate it from English to Dutch and she has done a good job of that with so many good experience from her old works which was similar to mine. I have tried very hard that the outcome be the best of my abilities as far a the English language and literature is concern. But I am not highly educated in English language just a few years I have done in England for banking business. Because of my love to this language, I have learned it for so many years myself , without living in England. What I am trying to say here, is that every sentences could be put in so much better content if I had that knowledge and education in literature , I wish I had . I hope my editor will help me in this matter, to bring it in complete and updated form where it is necessary. The most important part is that I want you all to feel and witness the pain and challenges that I had whole my life as a woman till this day. Maybe the face of the problem is different from what you had but at the end of the day it is our problems. Thank you all I hope meanwhile you enjoy this book. With regards SHAUKAT

"Life is full of changes" they say, the good ones and the bad ones, I assume. I reckon the thrill behind them is having to learn which ones you should embrace and which ones you should've rebelled against when you had the chance. My big change came with a job offer that would have me live and work in New York. I'm aware there surely must be many delicious benefits to all of this, but as the days pass, I can feel how wrong everything is. There is something hidden behind all of these benefits, I know it. The problem is not knowing how to uncover it. More and more strange incidents befall me, and I know They are all behind it. All of Them are in on it. They act all nice and normal, but when I turn my back, I can hear Them whisper and laugh about me. I know for a fact, that They're not alone, either. They are watching me constantly. I don't know what They want from me - what I could possibly possess that They need - but I am sure They are willing to do anything to get it from me.

Americans have built an empire on the idea of “race,” a falsehood that damages us all but falls most heavily on the bodies of black women and men—bodies exploited through slavery and segregation, and, today, threatened, locked up, and murdered out of all proportion. What is it like to inhabit a black body and find a way to live within it? And how can we all honestly reckon with this fraught history and free ourselves from its burden? Between the World and Me is Ta-Nehisi Coates’s attempt to answer these questions in a letter to his adolescent son. Coates shares with his son—and readers—the story of his awakening to the truth about his place in the world through a series of revelatory experiences, from Howard University to Civil War battlefields, from the South Side of Chicago to Paris, from his childhood home to the living rooms of mothers whose children’s lives were taken as American plunder. Beautifully woven from personal narrative, reimagined history, and fresh, emotionally charged reportage, Between the World and Me clearly illuminates the past, bracingly confronts our present, and offers a transcendent vision for a way forward.
