Thomas Cox (ca.1694-1762), a Quaker, immigrated in 1714 from Gloucester County, England to Philadelphia, and settled in Chester County, Penn- sylvania. He married twice, moved several times in Pennsylvgania, and in 1741 moved to Wayne County, North Carolina.
