This Biological Assessment (BA) is prepared for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) of the Rawlins Field Office. The public lands and federal mineral estate within the RMP Planning Area are the subject of the planning effort (DEIS) and this document. This document is a component of the Bureau DEIS Resource Management Plan (RMP). The Endangered Species Act of 1973 requires the RMPPA to complete a BA to determine the effects of implementing the DEIS RMP on listed and proposed species. The objective of this programmatic BA is to provide documentation and analysis for the proposed action to meet the federal requirements and agreements set forth among the federal agencies. It addresses federally listed T & E, candidate, and proposed species.
