DOWNLOAD EBOOKExcerpt from Descendants of Reinold and Matthew Marvin of Hartford, Ct;, 1638 and 1635: Sons of Edward Marvin, of Great Bentley, England The happy discovery by the late Mr. William S. Appleton, well known as an ardent genealogist, of a reference to Reinold Marvin in a will preserved in Somerset House, London, led to the publica tion, in 1900, of The English Ancestry of Reinold and Matthew Marvin, and the time seemed to have come for printing what we had found concerning their descendants. The results of our joint labors are here assembled. It is but justice to his associate for the writer to say that Mr. George F Marvin has not only supplied necessary funds, but has been indefatigable in his efforts to give a completeness to the book which it would not otherwise have possessed, and in conducting the larger part of the correspondence especially in his own direct line, that of Matthew. Failure to obtain desired information in one direc tion seems to have inspired him with a more determined purpose to secure it from some other source, and generally With success. With out his aid this volume could not have been printed. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
