Still, India accounts for 8% of modern formats. India’s ecommerce market is expected to grow more than 50% in the next five years, as its young population increasing internet access (AT Kearney, 2014). But now Government has revised its decision on FDI in Retail, so that would have greater impact in Single and Multi brand retailing in the mere future. The retail industry has been seen as the indicator of economic growth and spending power globally. It has transformed itself into global phenomena and has been a scene of constant change and innovation. This growth has come along with some serious challenges whilst increased competition added by economic slowdown, which has had a negative impact on profit margins. Brand is a static asset in the current scenario. In a Fiercely Competitive market place, Brand marketers need innovative ideas and strategies that will make their brand stand out in a clutter and result in definite sales.
