Excerpt from Acts of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Passed at the Regular Session of the General Assembly, Which Was Begun and Held in the City of Frankfort, Kentucky, on Tuesday, January the Fourth, 1910, and Ended on Tuesday, March the Fifteenth, 1910 All warehouse receipts so issued by any corporation, company, partnership or individual, engaged 1n the business as above set forth, shall be negotiable and transferable by endorsement 1n blank or by special endorsement, and With like liability as bills of exchange now are, and With like remedy thereon. And it is provided that any of such ware housem'en may in such receipts agree and bind them selves to pay the person rightfully holding the same and entitled thereto the value of the property de scribed therein, in the event of loss or damage from any cause While in the possession of such warehouse men.
