The book researches the use of a semantic wiki in the area of IT Service Management within the IT department of an SME. An emphasis of the book lies in the design and prototypical implementation of tools for the integration of ITSM-relevant information into the semantic wiki, as well as tools for interactions between the wiki and external programs. The result of the book is a platform for agile, semantic wiki-based ITSM for IT administration teams of SMEs.

This book takes a two-staged approach to contribute to the contemporary Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) research. First it investigates sub-basin-scale IWRM modelling and scenario planning. The Jordanian Wadi Shueib is used as exemplary case study. Then, it develops a framework to collaboratively manage planning and decision making knowledge on the basis of semantic web technologies. Future IWRM initiatives can benefit from the valuable insights achieved in the presented study.
This volume contains the lecture notes of the 8th Reasoning Web Summer School 2012, held in Vienna, Austria, in September 2012, in the form of worked out tutorial papers on the various topics that have been covered in that school. The Annual Asian Semantic Web Conference is one of the largest regional events in Asia with focused topics related to the Semantic Web. With the decade-round endeavor of Semantic Web believers, researchers and practitioners, the Semantic Web has made remarkable progress recently. It has raised significant attention from US and UK governments, as well as the European Commission who are willing to deploy Semantic Web technologies to enhance the transparency of eGovernment. The Linked Open Data initiative is on its way to convert the current document Web into a data Web and to further enabling various data and service mashups. The fast adoption of Semantic Web technologies in medical and life sciences has created impressive showcases to the world. All these efforts are a crucial step toward enabling the take-off and the success of the Semantic Web. The First Asian Semantic Web Conference was successfully held in China in 2006. With the following editions in Korea in 2007 and Thailand in 2008, it fostered a regional forum for connecting researchers and triggering innovations. This year, the 4th Asian Semantic Web Conference was held in Shanghai, China. We received 63 submissions from Asia, Europe, and North America, and 25 papers were accepted (the acceptance rate is around 40%). Each submission was reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. The Chairs moderated the discussion of conflict reviews or invited external reviewers to reach the final decisions.

Welcome to the proceedings of APCHI 2008, the 8th Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer–Human Interaction held in Seoul, Korea. Following the success of the preceding APCHI conferences, in Singapore (1996, 2000), Australia (1997), Japan (1998), China (2002), New Zealand (2004) and Taiwan (2006), the 8th APCHI brought together the researchers, developers, practitioners, and educators in the field of human–computer interaction. APCHI has been a major forum for scholars and practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region on the latest challenges and developments in HCI. Theoretical breakthroughs and practical systems and interfaces were presented at this 2008 conference, thanks to the support of KADO, the HCI ITRC of Sungkyu- wan University, and KIST. APCHI 2008 featured a comprehensive program including keynote speeches, regular paper presentations, poster, demos, and special panel sessions. To address the challenge of socially blending ubiquitous computing technologies and a wider sp- trum of people with a variety of skills, knowledge, and capabilities, APCHI 2008 set “Universal and Ubiquitous” as the conference theme. APCHI 2008 attracted a total of 151 paper submissions. Among such a large number of submissions, 45 full papers were accepted as submitted or with minor revisions. All papers were reviewed by at least two reviewers. For the remaining submissions, 41 were recommended to change according to the reviews and were submitted as extended abstracts and posters. One special session with six invited papers was organized to support the conference theme of “Universal and Ubiquitous.
