The bulbs are very large, averaging three to four inches in diameter, and as they throw up several stems when well grown, the flowers are produced in profusion. It is very easily grown, bears pure white flowers with a lemon or orange cup. The Chinese method is as follows: Fill a bowl, or some similar vessel, with pebbles, in which place the bulb, setting in about one - half its depth, SO that it will be held firmly, then fill with water to the top Of the pebbles and place in a warm, sunny window.
