William Bunnell (fl. 1630-1654) emigrated during or before 1630 from England to Watertown, Massachusetts, and probably moved to New Haven, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, California and elsewhere.
Charles Woolverton emigrated from England sometime before 1693 and settled in New Jersey. He married Mary in about 1697. They had nine children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
Bunnell (and variant spellings) families came mainly from England, France, Scotland, and Sweden. This first volume covers ancestors and descendants from the late 1500's to the early 1800's, with a focus on English immigrant William Bunnell. William settled in Massachusetts Bay Colony ca. 1630. Around 1635, he married Ann Wilmot, the daughter of Benjamin and Ann Wilmot. They moved to New Haven Colony, Massachusetts, ca. 1650. Their children were Lydia, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Mary and Ebenezer. Nathaniel moved from New Haven to Elizabethtown in 1665, and later to Chatham, New Jersey. Many Bunnells lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York in the 1600's-1700's. During the 1800's, some moved into New Brunswick and Nova Scotia (Canada), and to Kentucky, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Vermont. Later descendants and relatives also lived in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., and elsewhere.

Arthur Orison Dillon, son of Peter Orison Dillon and Belle Anne Cottingham Dillon was born July 7, 1873 in Lexington, LeSueur County, Minnesota. He later resided in Indiana, Washington and California where he was involved in the practice of law, public service, church work and civic organizations. Ancestors and relatives lived in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Minnesota, California, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Connecticut, Ohio, Vermont, Washington and elsewhere.

Joseph Olin is the oldest son of John Olin and Susannah Spencer. John Olin was impressed into a British man-o-war and jumped ship in Boston Harbor in 1678. Joseph was born in 1710 in East Greenwich, New Hampshire. He married Mary Aylesworth. From Rhode Island the family moved into Vermont and later to other states.
