This book deals with the determination of method of timing of events through dasha and transit. The horoscope and related divisional charts can simply give an indication about the auspicious and inauspicious probabilities on the basis of the study of house, house lord and significator whereas the timing of an event cannot be calculated without understanding the impact of major period & transit in operation so for getting timing of events in one's life, we use Dasha and transits. Dasha tells which planet is affecting the native at a particular time, whereas transit tells us which natal planet is vibrating because of the transiting planet. A combined result of Dasha and transit gives us the behavior of the native at a particular time. In nutshell the Horoscope and concerned divisional charts only indicate the promise in the horoscope, negative or positive, according to the position of house, house lord, significator, concerned house from the significator. But the time of fructification of event is indicated by the Dasha/Anterdasha of different planets. If a good dasha is in operation, the native will get good results according to the significations of the concerned dasha nath and its lordship in the horoscope. For determining the timing of events for various events such as education, profession, marriage, children, acquiring of vehicle, land and property, foreign travels, each subject is discussed in detail in different chapters. The principles to identify the timing of events are given with illustrations / examples.

Astrology is a great science based on sound principles and theory of karma through cycles of rebirth. A horoscope is basically a map of zodiac indicating position of planets in various signs/ Nakshatra at the time and place of birth. The delineation of a chart is the science and art of deciphering it as per the knowledge, intuition of the astrologer and divine help available to him. Therefore the first requisite is to have sound knowledge of nature and characteristics of houses, signs, Nakshatra and planets and their inter-relation. Next comes the basic tools like dasha, transit, yoga and divisional chart and their application in delineating a horoscope. Lagna is the single most important factor in delineating a horoscope. It is the very being of the native, his élan vital & basic potential. Unless the seed of a specific quality or event is contained in this basic potential, other planetary indications will not find suitable opportunities for manifestation. Lagna also determines the numbering of houses with lagna being the first. With the change in lagna, the significations of any planet will change drastically, as his house & lordship changes, although the sign & constellation of the planet remain unchanged.

Transit of planets talks about the technique of making predictions on the basis of current position of planets on the horoscope of native. The main objective of Astrology is to predict the future of the native with the help of his horoscope. For making accurate prediction it is necessary to make an analysis of three factors. These three factors are YOGAS formed with the combination and permutation of planets, 2nd important factor is periods (dasa) and 3rd factor is transit. When a person comes with a query, first of all it should be analyzed that the query is related with which house, planets, the planet occupying this house and the planets aspecting this house. The determination of the auspicious or inauspicious results of that house shall be done by analyzing three factors. These are house, house Lord and significators. For example if the question asked is regarding marriage in that case we shall see that which planets are there in seventh house, this house is aspected by which planets. Marriage yoga for the possibility of marriage is there or not and in addition to that the position of significator of 7th house i.e. Jupiter/Venus should be analyzed. For females the significator of 7th house is Jupiter and for males the natural significator of 7th house is Venus. By analyzing the placement, combination, and benefic or malefic impact of these planets we conclude weather auspicious yoga for the possibility of marriage is there or not. After Yoga next important factor to be considered is major or sub period, the duration of main period is a long and sub period’s duration also can be 6 months or more than 2 years therefore, in order to predict the timing of an event during these 2 years the help of transit can be taken. Therefore, for predicting an event the importance of transit should be considered. Although it is a matter of long discussion to determine whether transit predictions should be made on the basis of ascendant sign or moon sign. For supporting the predictions from both, scholars have given logical and justifiable opinions. But, the conclusions that we have derived on the basis of our experience advocate that auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of the transit results of planets should be done on the basis of moon sign and what type of results i.e, which house results it shall yield would be decided on the basis of ascendant sign. For instance if moon is positioned in 7th house and the sign of Leo is there, therefore transit of Saturn into this sign shall cause negative impact of Saturn’s SADHESATI because transit of Saturn into Leo shows inauspicious results therefore there can be delay or problems in marriage and married life. Similarly what can be the results of transit of planets by considering the other important factors has been taken into account in this book. Because of lack of availability of books in the field of transit predictions this book has been written for catering the need of students of all India Federation of Astrologer’s Societies Delhi. This book shall be of immense help for solving the problems of students while studying the techniques of making predictions.

This book talks about the fundamentals of domestic vastu. The word Vastu originated from the Sanskrit word “Vas” and the meaning of this word is to live life or to reside. The word “Vasu” originated from “Vas” and finally this word “Vastu” originated from “Vasu”. Meaning of the word Vastu is a place where a person resides. The meaning of Shastra is a book which deals with the mysterious and systematic explanation of a subject, therefore the meaning of Vastushastra is a book related to the residence. The origin and anatomy of Vastushastra is based on the principle of the five elements of creation. As our body is also made up of these five elements, if enough attention is paid to the incorporation of these five elements in the construction of a house then the people residing in the building shall reside happily. These five elements are- Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. Our universe also is made up of these five elements only. Therefore the saying goes – (Yatpindetatbramhande). God ( bhagwan) has given these five gifts to us– from (bha) bhumi (land), from (ga) gagan (sky, ether), from (va) vayuq (air), from (na) neer (water). God is represented by the symbol (Om). These five elements are present in this Om also. “Aa” is Agni (fire), “Au” is Jal (water), “Ma” is Vayu (air), “ W ” (ardhachandra) is Bhoomi (land) and “0” is Akash (ether, sky). Similarly the word Vastu also denotes these five elements. From “Va” Vayu (air), from “Aa” Agni (fire), from “Sa” “Srishti” Bhoomi (land), from “Ta” Tat means Akash (ether/ sky) and from “Au” Jal (water). These five elements also are represented by the five planets. 1. Earth is represented by Mars 2. Water is represented by Venus 3. Fire is represented by Sun 4. Air is represented by Saturn 5. Ether is represented by Jupiter. Similarly mind is controlled by Moon. Intelligence is controlled by Mercury. Ego and arrogance is controlled by Rahu and moksha or spirituality by Ketu. Disbalance of these elements in the body produces ill health and disease. In a similar manner the disbalance of these elements in a house creates varied kind of troubles for the persons living in it. There are unlimited forces present in nature. Some of these forces influence us, for example the gravitational force of earth, the magnetic and electrical energy of the universe and the electromagnetic force present everywhere. These energies also exist in the constructed house and they continue influencing the electromagnetic force present in the human body. This produces the auspicious or inauspicious results. These results vary from place to place depending on the geographical location. For these reasons the results of vastu principles are not the same all over the world. They differ according to the longitude and latitude of the place. They also differ according to the horoscope of the person concerned. If man goes along with the flow of nature's energies, it produces good health, progress and prosperity. If he goes against the flow of nature, he faces hurdles and obstructions everywhere. Hence it is utmost important and necessary for us to organize our lives according to nature, only then we can live happily. Halayudha kosha says that, Vastu is that art of house construction, which starts from Ishan kona etc and which protects the residents of the house from natural calamities and obstructions.

The people who do just the opposite have an untimely end. This shows that a person can reduce his life-span by his own kukarmas. Till a child is of twelve years of age his ayu nirnay should not be done. The first four years of his life and governed by the poorva karmas of his mother, the next four years are governed by the karmas of his father and the next four years are governed by his own karmas.
