In preparing a work of this kind a difficulty is alw experienced in making the information it contains interest to persons outside the Colony who are not concerned about details of local affairs, and at the same time to those livin; the Colony who require such details. It is believed that the present instance the difficulty has been fairly met. Ev care has been taken to correct such errors as may have pas through previous editions, and to keep this issue free f: them. If, however, any such should be discovered, it we be deemed a favour if their nature and position were poin out.
