For many years, the history of Byelorussia under Nazi occupation was written primarily from the perspective of the resistance movement. This movement, a reaction to the brutal occupation policies, was very strong indeed. Still, as the author shows, there existed in Byelorussia a whole web of local institutions and organizations which, some willingly, others with reservations, participated in the implementation of various aspects of occupation policies. The very sensitivity of the topic of collaboration has prevented researchers from approaching it for many years, not least because in the former Soviet territories ideological considerations have played an important role in preserving the topic’s “untouchable” status. Focusing on the attitude of German authorities toward the Byelorussians, marked by their anti-Slavic and particularly anti-Byelorussian prejudices on the one hand and the motives of Byelorussian collaborators on the other, the author clearly shows that notwithstanding the postwar trend to marginalize the phenomenon of collaboration or to silence it altogether, the local collaboration in Byelorussia was clearly visible and pervaded all spheres of life under the occupation.

Here is a true story of international intrigue, romances, corruption, graft, and political assassinations, the like of which has never been written before. It is the story of how different groups or atheistic- materialistic men have played in an international chess tournament to decide which group would win ultimate control of the wealth, natural resources, and man- power of the entire world. It is explained how the game has reached the final stage. The International Communists, and the International Capitalists, (both of whom have totalitarian ambitions) have temporarily joined hands to defeat Christian-democracy. The solution is to end the game the International Conspirators have been playing right now before one or another totalitarian-minded group imposes their ideas on the rest of mankind. The story is sensational and shocking, but it is educational because it is the TRUTH. The author offers practical solutions to problems so many people consider insoluble.

(Please note: The book you see here is not "The PawN of Prophecy" by David Eddings -- a wonderful fantasy novel set in ancient times -- instead this book is a fictional thriller based on The Book of Revelations and set in modern times).DESCRIPTION:The year is 2012. Doomsday Prophets again proclaim End of the World -- yet this time they may be correct - for as 2012 unfolds the disastrous events of The Book of Revelations finally begin to occur! And so the world wonders -- is there any hope? The answer is YES - and one man holds the key for saving us... Amazingly, St. John the Apostle is still alive in 2012 - having been blessed with the Gift of Immortality so that he could survive to fight the coming of The Antichrist. There's just one problem - over the course of the last 2,000 years, John has lost his faith. Now a crotchety old man who lives in upstate NY, John is still tormented by 'revelations' he cannot escape, and with nothing but time on his hands, he's taken up a few new hobbies: drinking craft beers, watching baseball, and listening to country music. Unfortunately for John (and the rest of us), NOW is the time when The Antichrist is rising to power. Only John can save us, but will he recover his faith in time to stop Armageddon or will Satan's Son achieve Ultimate Victory? "The Pawns of Prophecy" has been hailed by some as "The Christian Da Vinci Code" while others have called it "outrageous blasphemy." It's a fast-paced thriller based on The Book of Revelations, 2012 theories, and (allegedly) author-interviews of St John himself, and it will keep you guessing until the very end. Inherently controversial -- of which any Doomsday Scenario would be - "The Pawns of Prophecy" pushes the limits of contention, with references that the Nails used to crucify Jesus Christ may still exist, that the Pope may be involved in various secret societies in support of The Antichrist (or even that he IS the Antichrist), and that certain characters from the Bible may still be alive today but are now far different than you remember them. Intended for Christians AND non-Christians alike, it's perfect for anyone who enjoys suspense novels, conspiracy theories, and alternate histories. Is YOUR faith strong enough to read it?(NOTE: This book is available in the following formats: trade paperback, E-Book Full Version, or E-Book 4-Part Serial Version).

When Pawns Rebel is a journey that a pawn takes through the demanding environment of the board while a game is in process. The pawn changes his mind and his sense of right and wrong with every convincing argument that he hears. After making up his mind on what his life should be about and events and his status do not satisfy his newly found goals, does he cave in and let life take its usual course or will he attempt to alter his destiny and the destiny of all the other pawns on the board? Will the other pawns agree with him on what's best for them or will they oppose him? And what will the major pieces do once they find out about him and his conspiracy to strip them away of their superiority over the pawns? How will all that happened effect the game and will it have an effect on other boards? Making connections between the pawn and one self on an occasion or another should not be difficult.
