II, art. 178; (2) that the property was sold in execution of another decree and pur chased by defendant N o. 2 in 1888, which was prior to the date of the certificate (24th January 1890) (3) that on the date of the certificate, there was no title to vest in defendant N o 2, and, therefore, the plaintiff acquired no title by reason of the sale by defendant N o. 1.
