DOWNLOAD EBOOKExcerpt from Tenth Biennial Report of the Board of Trustees of the Historical and Miscellaneous Department of the Montana State Library, 1909-1910 Our inability to get papers properly and readily bound has been a source of great annoyance and inconvenience. We have only been able to secure the binding of 60 volumes a year, which leaves the files of some county papers unbound back as far as 1904. There are over 100 newspapers published in the state and the accumulation of unbound files becomes very burdensome and difficult to handle. The library continues to receive the principal periodicals. It is the only reading room in the State House and is very well patronized. Many of the periodicals are valuable for binding purposes and several hundred volumes will be bound, as soon as the binder, to whom the state contract has been awarded, is able to handle the work which we require.
