“One of the secrets, Mustafa didn’t even know about, because if he did, I’m pretty sure that I would have already been dead by now. The way skeletons like to pop out the closet around here, I’m pretty sure that that secret will resurface one day, although I was hoping that it never had to.” Kennedy spoke those words in part one of Finding my Way Back to Love, but what was she talking about? What is this secret that Kennedy’s speaking of that Paris is the only one to know about? Along with that, we left off with Mustafa leaving Logan at the altar. The drama doesn’t just end there. He will have to eventually face Logan, and they have to somehow come to some sort of agreement. Mustafa has made it clear that he wants his family back, but sometimes, it’s just not that easy. If Mustafa and Kennedy can get it right, they can actually be one of the best couples around, but the secret that she’s been holding in won’t stay buried much longer. Everyone wants nothing more but for Mustafa Strong and Kennedy Strong to become one again, but do they really have what it takes to cross that line and become a family again?

Unlike so many fictional books about gangs, El Gato takes us into the heart of the South American underworld. Trafficking, rivalries, and betrayal become the norm in his biography. From his deep involvement in a number of Guatemalan mobs, our 'cat' details his participation in violence, death, and jealousy within the midst of love, humor, childlike innocence, and the desire for being needed. Eventually, after being a gang member for twenty-one years, Juan Castro experiences an incredible epiphany when coming face-to-face with death for the thirteenth time.

I have always been under the impression that children were only removed from their families when in severe and life threatening abusive situations. Never did I think for a moment that the very people who the public put their trust in are actually guilty of gross negligence and outrageous behavior far worse than some of the reasons why children may be removed from their families. To top it all off there are no penalties for DCF workers who remove children without cause. My child was kept from me for absolutely no reason, totally without justification nor my knowledge and tossed in a system for almost 3 years by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) that failed to abide by their own statutes, internal procedures, policies, rules and regulations. During this travesty of justice my child suffered lifelong visible scars and irreparable damage. I was totally oblivious to what could and would take place in my child's life as well as my families and my life. Upon feeling compelled to write this book I am in hope that my story will enlighten other parents that maybe, by no fault of their own, are faced with a similar situation I am in hope that my story will somehow inspire changes to be made in a now very broken system, a system that seems to be totally out of control .
