Ben Diaz, (who writes under the nom de plume of Natureboy) and his family, live in a small community called Goodrich in the state of Michigan. Writing has been an ongoing hobby since he was an adolescent. He enjoys the power of words and the feelings that they can evoke. Ben (or Natureboy as he likes to say) writes poetry and the romance genre is what he enjoys writing about the most. He attributes much of his poetry to life experiences and a day dreaming reverie which often draws him into love poems. Ben has taken several classes in Creative Writing at local community colleges. It is at that time he started really honing his poetic writing skills. Free Verse is very evident in his style of writing. Over the years, he has rebuffed many humorous remarks about how he signed his poetry as Natureboy/Ben Diaz. Natureboy has become his accepted signature on his poetry, and he signs it that way, with a humble acceptance of how he sees himself. He enjoys handcycling and finding ways to exercise in his wheelchair which is an ongoing challenge to him.

“Jodi Thomas is at her remarkable best in Two Texas Hearts...She’s one of my personal favorites.”—New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber Kora Adams did not believe in curses, but she had known nothing but bad luck all her life. Then, one night, there was a knock on her door. It was a handsome but solemn stranger with a story to tell. Winter McQuillen had inherited a sprawling Texas ranch not far from the one room cabin Kora called home. But the only way he could claim it was if he found a wife that night. Winter had but one question for Kora: Would she marry him? The thought of wedding a man she did not know scared Kora to death. But the security of marriage, and even the faintest hope of love, was like a dream come true. Kora knew she needed every bit of comfort marriage would provide. What she didn't know was that Winter needed her even more.

Voices of the heart is a collection of poems and lyrical bits of real life emotions, pains, joys, moments and dreams captured in words. This collection of poetry spans over 45 years. I wrote my first poem as I can recall when I was but a teenager. I, remember seeing some beautiful red birds in the trees, it was a thing of beauty and in those day, I did not have a camera. Through the years as things touched my heart are bothered me I wrote about them. At that time, I only wrote about it so I can remember it and had no inkling of composing a book poetry, but after writing so many poems through the years of my good and bad experiences and now that Im retired and live in the woods by the lake and sits on my porch much of the time it came into my spirit and I decided to clean some of my bits up and put them together for everyone who wish to share them. I call my collection Voices of the Heart. This collection of poems concerns mostly my life for the last 45 years through the joys, pains and strife two marriages, six meaningful relationships, six children, four different women, undergraduate and graduate degrees from two colleges one is south and one in the Midwests and having reside in three states. My life has always been a journey never a destination. I am about 60 now, my thoughts are still beyond the familiar. I often think about getting my doctorate degrees, build a house in the mountains and making more memories. I cherish every fleeting moment and appreciate life like its no tomorrow, every day.

Love is the ABODE of GOD, and we all are living in His domicile. This love will reveal a top secret, causing a thousand veils to fall each second. The first step is to let go of life, to take a step with no wings to fly. God spoke about heaven, the “Abode of Heaven” or “Abode of God.” It is important to understand the difference between “heaven” as a kingdom and “heaven” as the virtual abode, pertaining to celestial concepts. ABODE means a dwelling place. It is described as our future “physical bodies,” into which we will step sometime in the next life. These new bodies will be our own “abodes,” or the temples of God. There will be no “mansions” to evoke jealousy or comparison, pride or covetousness. Worldly wisdom and selfish ambition have devised these interpretations over time. Spiritual wisdom interprets something else. According to me, it simply means a “dwelling place.”
