DOWNLOAD EBOOKDescribes results of field work in the northern region of Reindeer Lake on the northern Saskatchewan-Manitoba border, where mapping was carried out from the interior of the Proterozoic Wathaman Batholith to the Archean Peter Lake Domain. The main objective was to establish the nature and timing of the contact relationship between the Archean craton margin and the Wathaman Batholith. Evidence is also presented regarding the nature of the Swan River Pluton and similar bodies north-west of the Batholith.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis paper reports on the first field season of a new initiative designed to provide a regional tectonostratigraphic context for supracrustal & plutonic rocks that form the northern flank of the Trans-Hudson Orogen internides. It reviews the regional geology of the Lynn Lake belt area of northern Manitoba, then presents results of potential tectonostratigraphic correlations with the Reindeer Lake area of Saskatchewan as well as descriptions of supracrustal rocks in the Southern Indian Domain (Pukatawakan Bay and Missi Falls-Partridge Breast Lake areas). The final section assesses the economic potential of the study area.
