Interviewing is one of the most common techniques used to conduct qualitative research in the social sciences and humanities. As a result of globalization, researchers increasingly conduct interviews cross-, inter- and intra-nationally. This raises important questions about how differences and sameness are understood and negotiated within the interview situation, as well as the power structures at play within qualitative research, and the role that reflexivity plays in mediating these. What does it mean to interview Black women as a Black woman? How is ethnicity negotiated across various qualitative research encounters? How are differences bridged or asserted in feminist interviewing? These are just some of the questions explored in the chapters in this volume. Drawing on their recent research, the contributors detail their experiences of engaging in qualitative interviewing and examine how they negotiated the various dilemmas they encountered. The contributions challenge some of the assumptions made in early feminist work on interviewing, providing nuanced accounts of actual research experiences. This volume explores the practice and implications of conducting cross-, inter- and intra-cultural interviewing, bringing together researchers from a range of disciplines and countries to describe and analyse both its vicissitudes and its advantages.

"By providing easy-to-follow techniques of self-hypnosis and guided meditation, Dr. Bruce Goldberg makes the mechanism of contact with one's spirit guides accessible to all who sincerely apply themselves. Dr. Goldberg has blessed his readers with countless hours of inspiration and guidance. This is a book that will bring comfort and joy to millions." --Brad Steiger, author of Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides Contacting spirit guides is as old as civilization itself. Shamans dating back to at least 50,000 B.C. ritualistically contacted nonphysical entities. The Mystery Schools of Ancient Egypt, Greece, Persia, Rome, and India also dealt with contacting spirit guides. Every major religion acknowledges the reality of discarnate entities or spirits, whether they are called saints, angels, the Holy Spirit, and so on. One of the purposes of this book is to demystify this process. The media's depiction of spirit contact has led to the false assumption that anyone who establishes this contact must be in great danger. In reality, this communication is natural, relatively simple, and a wonderful growth experience. Spirit communication removes the fear of death and bereavement, and results in a form of spiritual empowerment. Contacting your spirit guides can help us: Develop your intuition and other psychic abilities. Increase your ability to love yourself and others. Become more aware of the workings of the universe. Establish better contact with your own Masters and Guides and Higher Self to facilitate your own spiritual evolution. Protect you from negative entities and/or other forces in the universe. Access the wisdom of the ancients. Establish and maintain your own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Overcome bad habits and fears. Eliminate the fear of death. See into the future. Master the art of out-of-body experiences. Learn your true karmic purpose. "Spirit Guide Contact Through Hypnosis" includes free audio companion downloads.

This book is meant to be useful to anyone who is interested in having and working with a large guardian dog. In these pages I hope I have answered many of the questions that surround large guardian dogs and what these great animals are possible of. It is my hope that the reader studies this book before purchasing their first large guardian pup. Training and maintaining a large guardian dog can be very time consuming early in the training stages, but the reward is well worth the peace of mind one will experience for the years that follow. One of the best lessons I have learned is that our large guardian dogs are forgiving of my shortcomings as a herd and dog owner. Often they know and understand more about what is going on than I do. These dogs are endlessly loyal and can be incredibly beneficial and meaningful to you, your family and your farm.
