The Ruach Ha'Kodesh: Ever Present, What It Does & Purpose is book 3 of the four-part series on the Ruach Ha’Kodesh. We wrap up the idea of the doctrine of the Trinity by going to Luke 4:1, the account of YAHUSHUA being led by the Spirit into the wilderness. Then we address the notion that the Holy Spirit was not before Act 2. And we show through many scriptures that the Ruach Ha’Kodesh has been with us since the beginning of creation. We then demonstrate that each of us has been given a portion of the Spirit of Elohim as our breath of life and consciousness. It is also the source of anointing or inspiration to speak the “Word” or the mind of the Creator, as did John the Baptist, King David, and the other prophets. Lastly, we delve deeper into “what is the Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)?” specifically, what it does and its purpose. Remember, Ruach Ha’Kodesh is the Hebrew word for Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. Some people have said that the phrase “Holy Ghost” makes them think of a Poltergeist, meaning a Spirit between the land of the living and the realm of the deceased. Many use this term but do not realize what they are saying; a “ghost” describes one who is dead and has returned. However, the “Spirit” we are discussing here has never been a person. The “Holy Spirit” or “Holy Ghost” is not the same; again, a “ghost” is something that once lived; it had flesh, whereas a “Spirit” never had flesh. YAHUSHUA never promised us a “ghost;” He promised us a “Spirit,” a “comforter.” what this book does is it tells us what the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)” is and what is His job. The Church world will give us one definition of what the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)” is, but it is different than what we read in the scriptures and what YAHUSHUA promised. The Messiah promised us a “comforter;” that would lead and guide us into all truths, all truths being something that he had already told us. We know the Messiah never said anything new; he only repeated what his Father said or what he heard his Father say. the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)” is the “comforter” that is to lead and guide us through the Father's “Word.” The Bible tells us there are two categories of Spirits in the world; the Spirit of truth and the Spirit of evil; there is no in-between. The question is, which one are you operating under? We are operating under the Spirit of truth; we are showing you directly from the Bible, not from other ideologies, not Christian or any religious base, because we are not “religious” people. We are the true children of Israel; we believe in being led by the Spirit and what is written in the Holy Manuscript. The first time the word "Spirit" is mentioned in the Bible is in the book of Genesis 1:1-2, which reads, “1 In the beginning ELOHIM created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of YAHUAH moved upon the face of the waters." This was the “Spirit of YAHUAH,” and keep in mind there are different types of Spirits. Revelation 1:4 reads, “4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne." Isaiah 11:2 reads, "And the Spirit of YAHUAH shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YAHUAH.” Notice the first “Spirit” mentioned is the “Spirit of YAHUAH,” which shall rest upon him (YAHUSHUA). There are many different types of “Spirits,” as you can see. We believe this is the same “Spirit” that is talked about in Genesis 1:2. As for the other “Spirits,” we do not hear much about them; in this book, we are going to focus on the “comforter,” the “Holy Spirit;” the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh.” The four-part Ruach Ha’Kodesh series helps provide the principles needed to understand YAHUAH better while discovering the truth. Abraham Joshua Heschel was one of the most revered religious leaders of the 20th century, and God in Search of Man and its companion volume, Man Is Not Alone, two of his most important books, are classics of modern Jewish theology. God in Search of Man combines scholarship with lucidity, reverence, and compassion as Dr. Heschel discusses not man's search for God but God's for man--the notion of a Chosen People, an idea which, he writes, "signifies not a quality inherent in the people but a relationship between the people and God." It is an extraordinary description of the nature of Biblical thought, and how that thought becomes faith.

More than any other person of his time, Isaac Leeser 0806-1868) envisioned the development of a major center of Jewish culture and religious activity in the United States. He single-handedly provided American Jews with many of the basic religious texts, institutions, and conceptual tools they needed to construct the cultural foundation of what would later emerge as the largest Jewish community in the history of the Jewish people. Born in Germany, Leeser arrived in the United States in 1824. At that time, the American Jewish community was still a relatively unimportant outpost of Jewish life. No sustained or coordinated effort was being made to protect and expand Jewish political rights in America. The community was small, weak, and seemingly not interested in evolving into a cohesive, dynamic center of Jewish life. Leeser settled in Philadelphia where he sought to unite American Jews and the growing immigrant community under the banner of modern Sephardic Orthodoxy. Thoroughly Americanized prior to the first period of mass Jewish immigration to the United States between 1830 and 1854, Leeser served as a bridge between the old native-born and new immigrant American Jews. Among the former, he inspired a handful to work for the revitalization of Judaism in America. To the latter, he was a spiritual leader, a champion of tradition, and a guide to life in a new land. Leeser had a decisive impact on American Judaism during a career that spanned nearly forty years. The outstanding Jewish religious leader in America prior to the Civil War, he shaped both the American Jewish community and American Judaism. He sought to professionalize the American rabbinate, introduced vernacular preaching into the North American synagogue, and produced the first English language translation of the entire Hebrew Bible. As editor and publisher of The Occident, Leeser also laid the groundwork for the now vigorous and thriving American Jewish press. Leeser's influence extended well beyond the American Jewish community An outspoken advocate of religious liberty, he defended Jewish civil rights, sought to improve Jewish-Christian relations, and was an early advocate of modern Zionism. At the international level, Leeser helped mobilize Jewish opinion during the Damascus Affair and corresponded with a number of important Jewish leaders in Great Britain and western Europe. In the first biography of Isaac Leeser, Lance Sussman makes extensive use of archival and primary sources to provide a thorough study of a man who has been largely ignored by traditional histories. Isaac Leeser and the Making of American Judaism also tells an important part of the story of Judaism's response to the challenge of political freedom and social acceptance in a new, modern society Judaism itself was transformed as it came to terms with America, and the key figure in this process was Isaac Leeser.
