"Sixteen Waves of Separation; A Retrospect" recounts my journey as the swelling tsunami of the sixties crashes over our societal driven lifestyle; how my firstborn daughter and I try to hold on under its influence, and how we get separated in the process. The weight of boredom in the town where I grew up was almost unbearable so I followed the signs to the Haight-Ashbury district of SF to see what the big deal was all about. The big deal was a restless girl of seventeen on a quest for a genuine love experience. Living on love also caused hard times, consequences and motherhood. Turns out, one summer of love was not enough to cover the high price of living in the Haight. It took a deeper love to transform this lost flower-child into a born-again child of God. Following the narrow way caused wave after wave of adversity for my taken-for-granted children. In the end, I was left standing at the crossroads between dead-end Christianity and a brand new LOVE relationship with Jesus Christ. I learned that forgiveness coupled with prayer is the only way to reverse the direction of the waves, and carry my daughter home to God, and to me.
