Made a begin ning. At 1773; Simeon fihandiler on the west end of the home lot No. 37, now owned by Paul Champlin. Enoch Dewey had commenced clearing directly west of No. 6a'ci =the home: lots, probably on No. 2 of the Second hundred acres division, now owned by his son Stilman. But before removing his family he' died with the small pox'in Connecticut Two young men had also made a beginninnhflip Foot directly west of No. 56 of the home lots, and Eber Everts on the lot now bordering on Salisbury, and owned bv Joel Boardman.
