I, Deaf Chef, created this cookbook to share my recipes that I have learned over my 25 years in the hospitality industry. What I have learned along the way is that "Fresh" ingredients are the best way to flavor foods. I have been trained by many great Chefs at different properties and I am proud to say that they have taught me well. In this cookbook, you will find many recipes that will give you great flavors in any dishes without any added preservatives and low in sodium. In order to lower the sodium intake, I believe that Sea salt is the best way over Kosher salt or Table salt (iodine) I can teach you how to use natural ingredients that our nature gives us to create a great meal with minimum amount of sodium. During my years in the culinary arts industry, I have gained a vast amount of experience that have taught me how to make fabulous meals from scratch using the freshest ingredients. In this cookbook, you will find all sauces, salad dressings, soups, starch, vegetables, and marinades all derive from fresh nature grown ingredients. All recipes are flexible and can be changed to your preference or substituted due to allergies. This cookbook will be categorized by chapters of food items separately such as; Appetizers, Soups, Salads & Dressings, Sauces, Beef, Poultry, Duck, Pork, Lambs, Veal, Fish, Vegetables, Vegetarian dishes, Starches, Pasta and Casserole dishes. The reason for this is that you will have the flexibility to choose what you want to eat that particular day and choose your favorite pairings to the dish you wish to create to impress your families or friends. Along the way of learning from great Chefs, I have learned that the best way to getting great flavors to foods is to marinate foods overnight. This will allow the herbs to marry into the food. The best way is to plan ahead the day before. In order to accomplish that you have to choose what you want to eat and follow what the recipes says to do. If you happen to forget to plan ahead or you are in a rush, you can always do the dish you want to do, all you have to do is marinate the food items at least 4-8 hours before starting the cooking process. I am confident that I will please you with all my recipes that I have in this cookbook. I am hoping that you will enjoy all the fabulous meal that you will cook for your friends and families and they will go home with a happy stomach. Again, I would like to thank you all for buying my cookbook and I wish you all an "Happy Cookin!!" Sincerely, "Deaf Chef" Paul Hansen

In a world with so many religions, why Jesus? We are living in a time when you can believe anything, as long as you do not claim it to be true. In the name of “tolerance,” our postmodern culture embraces everything from Eastern mysticism to New Age spirituality. But as Ravi Zacharias points out, such unquestioning acceptance of all things spiritual is absurd. All religions, plainly and simply, cannot be true. Jesus Among Other Gods provides the answers to the most fundamental claims about Christianity, such as: Aren’t all religions fundamentally the same? Was Jesus who He claimed to be? Can one study the life of Christ and demonstrate conclusively that He was and is the way, the truth, and the life? In each chapter, Zacharias considers a unique claim that Jesus made and then contrasts the truth of Jesus with the founders of Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism with compelling insight and passionate conviction. In addition to an impressive breadth of reading and study, he shares his personal journey from despair and meaninglessness to his discovery that Jesus is who He said He is. “In Jesus Among Other Gods, Ravi Zacharias demonstrates that he is one of the most intellectually gifted as well as spiritually sensitive writers of today’s leading apologists for the Christian faith. Zacharias brings alive the unique power of the claims of Jesus about himself and the utter relevance of his message today for the human condition.” — David Aikman, author of Great Souls

The ultimate guide to live-fire grilling and smoking at home, with recipes that will have you cooking up meat, vegetables, fish, and more like a true Texas fire wrangler—from the James Beard Award–winning team behind the New York Times bestseller Franklin Barbecue. Aaron Franklin, bestselling author and proprietor of Austin hotspot Franklin Barbecue, turns to backyard live-fire grilling and smoking in Franklin Smoke. Along with award-winning food writer Jordan Mackay, Franklin addresses the mysterious area where smoker and grill intersect, describing when and how to best combine the two. This complete resource, which features inspiring and helpful photographs, proves that lighting a backyard fire is no big deal on a weeknight—and that you can (and should!) cook this way for fuller flavors and a deeper engagement with the elements. The trick is in treating fire as an ingredient, not a medium. Franklin and Mackay detail strategies for executing meals over the full lifespan of a fire, employing low- and high-heat techniques as well as indirect cooking and smoking. Whether you’re an old pro looking for new tips or have just purchased your first grill or smoker, the book shares expert techniques designed for any type of backyard grill, from inexpensive kettle-style grills, Big Green Eggs, offset cookers, and hand-built fire pits. Featuring detailed chapters on tools, techniques, and methods of grilling and smoking a variety of ingredients, Franklin Smoke answers all of your burning questions—from “How do I smoke a whole turkey?” to "What kind of wood should I use?”—while offering delicious new ways to incorporate both fire and smoke into your everyday cooking.
