Descendants of James Rowe (1800-1877), who was born in Constantine, Cornwall, England to John and Elizabeth Rowe. He was married to Julia Williams (1805-1876), the daughter of Henry Williams and Charity Tippet, in 1824 in Constantine. They were parents of twelve children, youngest born 1849 in Galena, Jo-Daviess Co., Illinois, and the others in Cornwall, England. He died in Fort Buford, McKenzie, N. Dakota, she in Galena, Illinois. Descendants live in Illinois, Montana, Iowa and elsewhere.
