Excerpt from Eleventh Annual Report of the Board of Railroad Commissioners, State of Kansas, for the Year Ending December 1, 1893 Sir - In accordance with the provisions of section 6 of an act of the legislature of this state approved March 6, 1883, concerning railroads and other common carriers, we have the honor to transmit you herewith the eleventh annual report of this Board. It has been somewhat delayed by the failure of several of the railroad companies operating in this state to furnish to the Board the returns mentioned in section 7 of the act cited above until a few days before the date fixed for the submission of the re port to you. The delay on the part of the companies, however, we believe was not occasioned by any disposition on their part to ignore the law or ob struct the Board.
