DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis report presents a summary of the regional petrologic & tectonic features of a 9,300 square kilometre area in the Grenville Province of south-east Ontario, and attempts to relate these features in space & time to known mineral deposits within the area. After an overview of previous research and description of the regional geological setting, the characteristics of the Middle Precambrian to Palaeozoic rocks found in the area are detailed. The final section summarizes the mineralization related to the various events recorded by the rocks of the area. This includes occurrences of base metals, uranium & other metallic mineralization, industrial minerals, and stone.
