This index provides a listing, organized by geographic area, of serial publications of the Mines and Minerals Divisions and its predecessor organizations from 1891-1993. Only publications pertaining to specific geographic regions are included. Publications are indexed by geographic areas, including National Topographic System (NTS) areas, geographic townships, and Ministry of Natural Resources areas. Each index includes publications within a specific range of map scales so that publications are indexed by geographic areas of about the same size as the map or report area. This report presents a summary of the regional petrologic & tectonic features of a 9,300 square kilometre area in the Grenville Province of south-east Ontario, and attempts to relate these features in space & time to known mineral deposits within the area. After an overview of previous research and description of the regional geological setting, the characteristics of the Middle Precambrian to Palaeozoic rocks found in the area are detailed. The final section summarizes the mineralization related to the various events recorded by the rocks of the area. This includes occurrences of base metals, uranium & other metallic mineralization, industrial minerals, and stone.
