In the treatment of an affair, there are several key elements that couples need to work through as a team, including assessment, working through the crisis phase, rebuilding trust, acknowledging the pain infidelity causes, repairing relationship issues, creating a dynamic sex life, choosing to stay in or leave the relationship, and forgiveness. This book will cover nine milestones in detail and offer a framework for how clinicians can offer helpful treatment at each step. Also included are case studies of particularly challenging couples that the author has worked with and a section at the end of each chapter on therapist self-care.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe sixth in the ‘Patty Fairfield’ series of children’s books by Carolyn Wells, we re-join Patty as she continues her European travels, relocating from Paris to the UK for the summer. There are plenty of adventures to be had – from trying to reconcile an estranged father and daughter, to searching for mysterious hidden treasure, and even Patty’s first proposal - this is a delightful addition to the series. Carolyn Wells (1862-1942) was a prolific American novelist and poet, best known for her children’s literature, mystery novels and humorous verse. Following school in New Jersey, Wells worked as a librarian where she developed her love of reading. It was during 1896, while working at the library that Wells' first book ‘At the Sign of the Sphinx’ was published. From 1900 she dedicated herself to her literary career, writing over 170 novels in total across a range of genres. Some of her most loved works include the ‘Patty Fairfield’ and ‘Marjorie Maynard’ series for girls, as well as the ‘Fleming Stone’ mystery series for adults. Wells is also well-known for her humorous nonsense verse, and was a frequent contributor of verse to magazines. She published an autobiography ‘The Rest of my Life’ in 1937. Wells died in New York City in 1942.

Mace now pushes paper in the K-9 unit as he waits to retire, aware that a species of peaceful Wolves lives among city residents. The Brotherhood of Torquemada, hell-bent on the Wolves’ extinction, dispatches a team of assassins to wipe out the Wolves residing in NYC. Each assassin has been trained since childhood to fulfill this destiny, and each possesses a revered silver sword, the Blade of Salvation. When the NYPD and the FBI determine that the Wolves and Torquemadans are engaged in a secret battle, they choose Mace to lead a covert, joint task force charged with preventing a citywide panic—at any cost. But Mace’s wife, Cheryl, is a journalist who threatens to uncover the ancient war that has found its way to our shores. Battle lines are drawn, loyalties are tested, bonds are broken, and blood is shed in a war unlike any seen by modern man.
