This fast paced and well documented analysis of the government's steady march away from God will either thrill or anger you - depending on your worldview. For those of us who acknowledge the Creator of the Universe as our God, Savior, and Lord, this document tends to stir up both the sadness at the exponential slippage from our foundations as a Country, and a challenge to stand strongly and openly against the growing intensity of those who would remove "religion" from America. The "nations rage" sometimes and "imagine a vain thing," but "he who sits in the heavens shall laugh." Mr. Frater has done a wonderful job of tracing the Humanist movement from its early inception and its subtle and damaging impact on our nation over the decades. All serious students of history and those of Kingdom concern should avail themselves of his work. Henry M. Morris III Chief Executive Officer Institute for Creation Research George Frater, B.S., M.S., M.A., Ed.S., retired Quality Assurance/Quality Control Coordinator, Air Monitoring Department, Environmental Protection Commission, Hillsborough County, Florida. Education: Wisconsin State, B.S./Agriculture, Biology and Chemistry minors; Iowa State, M.S./Poultry Nutrition; and Vanderbilt, M.A. and Ed.S., Biology. Taught science in Brandon High School in Hillsborough County, and in Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, Minnesota. Ran the Cancer Research Center Tissue Culture Lab at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville. Served: Bible-Science Association on the National Board of Directors. B-SA Middle Tennessee Chapter as President. Floridians for the Accurate, Complete Teaching of Science as President. Current membership: Creation Research Society, an organization of scientists. Creation Studies Institute, contributing writer. Frater became alarmed at the number of Christian students lured into believing the Humanistic teaching in public schools and decided to arm them with facts from the past that would help them remain steadfast in their faith.

The Omnidoxy is the founding treatise of the Astronist religion and was solely authored by the philosopher and religious founder, Cometan. Partitioned into twelve disquisitions, each of which are further divided into hundreds of discourses, which are themselves titled by those which are known as rubrals, The Omnidoxy has been codified according to a unique writing structure known as insentence. The Omnidoxy not only forms the foundations of Astronism, but it remains the primary modern contributor and the book that ignited the establishment of the Astronic tradition of religion which encompasses the philosophy of Astronism. Introducing brand new philosophical concepts such as cosmocentricity, reascensionism, transcensionism, and sentientism amongst many others, The Omnidoxy remains the principal signifier of a new era in philosophy. The Omnidoxy births hundreds of new belief orientations, schools of thought, neologisms, disciplines of study, theories, and concepts which, when combined and considered collectively, have formed the basis of Astronism. The authorship of The Omnidoxy rests with the single individual philosopher, Cometan who began writing The Omnidoxy at the age of seventeen driven by what he terms as personal inspiration. The historical origination of The Omnidoxy rests in its authorship by Brandon Taylorian during early 21st century England, specifically in the northern county of Lancashire. Like in all textual criticism, the timing and location of the codification of The Omnidoxy is integral to understanding why and how it was written, especially by considering the influential factors impacting Taylorian during his construction of the text, particularly the cultural, political, religious, and social contexts of Taylorian's personal life and of wider society at the time. This forms an important branch of study within omnidoxicology known as omnidoxical criticism, or omnidoxical exegesis in which scholars study and investigate The Omnidoxy in order to discern conclusive judgements inspired by how, where, why, by whom, for whom, and in what circumstances The Omnidoxy was written.

The Oblivions of The Cosmos is the thirtieth instalment in the Little Blue Book Series and comprises of the forty-eighth discourse of the Monodoxy, which is itself the first disquisition of the Omnidoxy, the founding book of Astronism. A haunting single-discourse publication constituting over 250 insentensations, The Oblivions of The Cosmos investigates one of the most ominous and chaotic progenies in The Cosmos; black holes. To introduce the discipline of cosmontology known as obliviology, this discourse examines all aspects and possibilities regarding the nature, form, purpose, eventualities, and physicalities of black holes with implicit connections to the beliefs of Astronism, particularly regarding the tradition of mystery surrounding black holes in Astronist philosophy and religion. The Little Blue Book Series was created and first published by Cometan himself as a way to simplify and commercialise the immensity of the two million word length of the Omnidoxy into smaller, more bite-size publications. A successful series from its very first published entry, the Little Blue Book Series has gone on to become a symbol of Astronist commercial literature and a way for Cometan’s words to reach readers of all ages and abilities who remain daunted by the beauty and yet the sheer extensiveness of the Omnidoxy as the longest religious text in history.

In this volume collaborators from different universities all over the world explore a wide variety of methods for the study of literature as cultural memory. In literature, the past may be (re)constructed in various ways and in very diverse forms. This immediately raises the question as to how one can describe and inventory the various discourses and metadiscourses of historical representation. In what sense can the rhetoric of literary historiography itself contribute to literature's function as cultural memory? Which methods of analysis are most appropriate for describing specific text types or genres as cultural memory? What have been the pragmatic uses and the ethical merits of the stability and continuity that literature has often provided for European, American, Asian and African cultures? What are the dilemmas they create for our teaching at the end of the twentieth century? To all these questions, a wide range of scholars here tries to find answers. In thorough and highly original contributions, they not only address theoretical problems, but also engage themselves in practical analyses of specific works.

The Art of Commemoration focuses on a particular historical event that illustrates how nations define their own identities and establish mutual relations in their discourse: the Warsaw Uprising of August 1944 and its Commemoration in 1994. This Commemoration was an innovative and unique form of transnational communication because it brought together representative speakers from all parties involved. They considered the commemorated event from different perspectives: the victim (Poland), the former enemy (Germany) and the former allies (England, USA, France and other countries, as well as Russia which liberated Poland but had not supported the Uprising). A letter from the Pope added a Catholic perspective. The 'art of commemoration' consists in invoking the past events from one's own perspective while simultaneously considering the other perspectives, as well as in making sense of the past and present at the same time. This volume analyses the artful way in which the speakers coped with these complexities in a full discourse analytic reconstruction of each address.
