The early tables in this volume were published in September 1979 in Bulletin 20 and information on highest post primary places of learning attended, by local authorities, was published in the regional bulletin series Nos 3-11, between June and December of 1977. As there was no question in the 1976 Census personal questionnaire on educational qualifications obtained no tables on that subject appear in this volume.
