DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis book explains in a clear and simple way what life is and how it flows within our cells, between people and through people. It is a practical manual that will help us to "feel" life, to vibrate and breathe the life inside of our bodies and of all living beings. A key focus of this work is how emotional impact affects our pericardium, which is the membrane that envelops, maintains and protects the heart.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKIn November 1986, I was invited to attend a symposium held in Barcelona on Diseases of the Pericardium. The course was directed by Dr. J. Soler-Soler, director of Cardiology at Hospital General Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona. During my brief but delightful visit to this institution, my appreciation of the depth and breadth of study into pericardial diseases, carried out by Dr. Soler and his group, grew into the conviction that these clinical investigators have accumulated a wealth of information concerning pericardial diseases, and that investigators and clinicians practicing in English speaking countries would greatly profit from ready access to the results of the clinical investiga tions into pericardial disease carried out in Barcelona. The proceedings of the Barcelona conference were published in a beauti fully executed volume in the Spanish language edited by Dr. Soler and pro duced by Ediciones Doyma. Because I believe that this work should be brought to the attention of the English speaking scientific and clinical com munities, I encouraged Dr. Soler to have the book translated into English. I knew that this task could be accomplished and that the book would be trans lated into good English without change of its content. My confidence was based upon a translation of my own book, The Pericardium, into Spanish undertaken by Dr. Permanyer, who is a contributor and co-editor of the pre sent volume.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKUltrasound has revolutionized a physician's ability to make urgent and emergent diagnoses at the bedside, and has changed the management of many acute injuries and conditions. This is a practical, concise introduction to what is rapidly becoming an essential tool for all critical care physicians: bedside emergency ultrasound. The Manual covers the full spectrum of conditions diagnosed using ultrasound and gives practical guidance in how to use ultrasound for common invasive procedures. Major applications are introduced using focused diagnostic questions and reviewing the image-acquisition skills needed to answer them. Images of positive and negative findings are presented, and scanning tips for improving image quality. The second edition has been substantially revised and expanded, with new images, updated literature reviews, new applications and clinical algorithms. New chapters cover additional procedures, musculoskeletal and pediatric applications, and the use of ultrasound in resuscitation. This text is invaluable for emergency physicians at all levels.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKCross-sectional imaging plays an ever-increasing role in the management of the acutely ill patient. There is 24/7 demand for radiologists at all levels of training to interpret complex scans, and alongside this an increased expectation that the requesting physician should be able to recognise important cross-sectional anatomy and pathology in order to expedite patient management. Emergency Cross-sectional Radiology addresses both these expectations. Part I demystifies cross-sectional imaging techniques. Part II describes a wide range of emergency conditions in an easy-to-read bullet point format. High quality images reinforce the findings, making this an invaluable rapid reference in everyday clinical practice. Emergency Cross-sectional Radiology is a practical aide-memoire for emergency medicine physicians, surgeons, acute care physicians and radiologists in everyday reporting or emergency on-call environments.
