So "YOU" think being a Witch is cool and Witchcraft is for you... hummm. Guess I got my work cut out for me... It is easy to say you are a Witch, anyone can do that but to live it on a daily bases is quite another matter all together. If you are going to commit yourself to following the path of the God & Goddess then you must learn that it is not a lifestyle but a way of life. I have run across so many in my lifetime who truly have natural gifts. They are either too busy or do not understand the level of devotion it takes to walk a path as complex as the Craft really is. It is not just wearing a pentacle, casting spells, and saying, "blessed be." This is not the movies kids. The Craft is a way of life that is based on reverence for the Earth and all its inhabitants and the ability and responsibility to harness the forces of the Universe.. It is spiritual and magickal, but it is a part of the mundane world in which we all live. A true Witch follows his/her path of the Craft every day, in every act, deed, and thought. This of course, is my definition, my view of a magickal life, but then, I can give you no other. It is a way of thinking and looking at the world through purple colored lens.... My Grannie always said if you choose to walk the path of the Goddess then be prepared to give yourself fully, this is no part time job. As soon as you think it is, she will remind you of the commitment you made to her with a tap to the back of your head.... As I teach my beginning students if you don't have the time to commit to yourself to walk your path 24/7/365 then maybe you should re-evaluate why you started your search in the first place. You need to be able to set time a side for daily study, meditation, and be ready to open yourself up to find what lies deep within you even if you don't like what you find, that my friend is the first lesson you must learn. Find out what set you upon this path in the first place what were you searching for that you have not been able to find in the mundane world. If I can get across anything to you, I do hope it is the fact that you always must be true to yourself and to your Deity's... no matter what.

I never asked to be a witch, but as careers go, at least it comes with magical perks. Who knew a person could almost die from drinking? I found out the hard way when I woke up in a hospital and a nurse informed me I was legally dead for a few minutes. Shocking, but not as much as the fact I returned different. I can see things, but it’s what I can do that has people interested in me. There’s Sonja, a strange woman with powers who appoints herself my teacher. Anakin, the mysterious and super hot dude, who owns a pastry shop of all things catering to weird folk. Leslie, my furry-tailed coworker and only friend. And then there’s the bad guys determined to get their grubby hands on me. I’m not special. Just a woman trying to clean up her life and actually plan for a future. Will I have time to atone for my many sins before my luck runs out? genre: new adult supernatural mystery, new adult romance, demons, witches, magic, hex, curse, foul mouthed heroine, kick-ass heroine, young adult, YA, college, spells

A truly contemporary take on how to be a witch, Rebel Witch is an antidote to the cookie-cutter witchcraft agenda that gives a new perspective on the craft, asking each reader to create a powerful, personalized practice that taps into the current mood of female empowerment and spiritual rebellion. Rebel Witch reminds witches of the wondrous opportunity to jump into experimentation and invent something wild and individual, a practice shaped by their individual personality and life journey, rather than allowing themselves to be spoon-fed. It challenges witches to design a nurturing practice that is truly theirs. There's information about all the elements of the craft, from energy raising, sacred space creation and receiving signs to casting spells, holding rituals, scrying, potions and much more … crucially, in each case the topic is discussed from an exciting contemporary perspective. So, when Kelly-Ann talks about sacred texts, she stresses that you can choose the texts that resonate with you – so why not Alice in Wonderland or Narnia? Maybe you want to move away from the traditional Wheel of the Year and create your own divisions? Instead of honouring a traditional deity, why not construct your own, choosing elements from rock stars, movie icons or fictional heroes? Or embody magical signs in your clothing and jewellery? Creativity and experimentation are encouraged, with tips to help the reader to be inventive. A curious reader with a desire to create an inspired, deeply personal path and free themselves from conformity will finish the book ready to take action and make magick happen!
