In the politics of twentieth century India, Jawaharlal Nehru is a familiar name. During the nine years he spent in prison, he wrote at length about Indian and world history. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote the book ‘The Discovery of India’, during his imprisonment at Ahmednagar fort for participating in the Quit India Movement (1942 – 1946).
