This paper constructs a cross-country model to evaluate how the differences in performance in Science and Technology indicators as proxies of Innovation correlate with different levels of economic growth. Performance in science and technology indicators are considered as inputs and economic growth and similar indicators are considered as output. The results show that innovation has a positive effect on GDP growth. Moreover, the indicator with the strongest impact on economic growth is R & D expenditures as percentage of GDP.
