John Gray, parents not listed, was born in 1800 in South Carolina. He married Frances, parents and surname not listed, before 1833 in Tennessee. John moved his family to Conway County, Arkansas Territory in 1833. John and Frances had 9 children. Frances died about 1857-1858. John married Elizabeth McAllister on 13 Mar 1859, but no further record has been found for him. His descendants have lived mostly in Arkansas.
