In this gem of a book, parents are offered an exploratory approach to the principles introduced in Heaven on Earth: A Handbook for Parents of Young Children. Using excerpts as leading thoughts, as well as "The Star of Family Culture" as a guiding image, parents are given a warmhearted lens through which to view their family life. Beginning with love as the foundation of the family, parents will have the opportunity to discover healthy family rhythms interactively, including family work and family play. They will be engaged in creating nourishing play spaces for their children, both indoors and out, and will learn to tell handmade stories, as well as to make art joyfully with their children. Establishing this loving, disciplined approach to family lays a sturdy foundation. In this way, many twenty-first-century "discipline problems" are deterred. With love as a guide, parents are given insight for dealing with developmentally appropriate behavior issues.

6 lectures and an essay, 1919-1920 (CW 297) World War I destroyed the structures, values, and self-confidence that created the seeming greatness of the nineteenth century. In its place stood ruins and the shards of a civilization. In response to this, Emil Molt--the director of the Waldorf-Astoria Cigarette Factory and a student of Rudolf Steiner--decided to establish a school to educate people who could create a new culture. Thus, the Waldorf school movement was begun. Rudolf Steiner agreed to act as the school's consultant, and his insights guided the school in accomplishing this ambitious task. The goal of this education was that, through living inner work guided by the insights of Rudolf Steiner, the teachers would develop in the children such power of thought, depth of feeling, and strength of will that they would emerge from their school years as full members of the human community, able to meet and transform the world. These lectures occurred around the opening of the first Waldorf school. They serve as an excellent, inspiring introduction to Waldorf education as a whole. Here Steiner outlines--with freshness, immediacy, and excitement--the goals and intentions of a new form of education and speaks to parents of prospective students. He explains the school's guiding principles and describes how parents must participate, with understanding and interest, in the awakening of their children's creative forces so that a healthier society can come about. Red Families v. Blue Families identifies a new family model geared for the post-industrial economy. Rooted in the urban middle class, the coasts and the "blue states" in the last three presidential elections, the Blue Family Paradigm emphasizes the importance of women's as well as men's workforce participation, egalitarian gender roles, and the delay of family formation until both parents are emotionally and financially ready. By contrast, the Red Family Paradigm--associated with the Bible Belt, the mountain west, and rural America--rejects these new family norms, viewing the change in moral and sexual values as a crisis. In this world, the prospect of teen childbirth is the necessary deterrent to premarital sex, marriage is a sacred undertaking between a man and a woman, and divorce is society's greatest moral challenge. Yet, the changing economy is rapidly eliminating the stable, blue collar jobs that have historically supported young families, and early marriage and childbearing derail the education needed to prosper. The result is that the areas of the country most committed to traditional values have the highest divorce and teen pregnancy rates, fueling greater calls to reinstill traditional values. Featuring the groundbreaking research first hailed in The New Yorker, this penetrating book will transform our understanding of contemporary American culture and law. The authors show how the Red-Blue divide goes much deeper than this value system conflict--the Red States have increasingly said "no" to Blue State legal norms, and, as a result, family law has been rent in two. The authors close with a consideration of where these different family systems still overlap, and suggest solutions that permit rebuilding support for both types of families in changing economic circumstances. Incorporating results from the 2008 election, Red Families v. Blue Families will reshape the debate surrounding the culture wars and the emergence of red and blue America.

It is my first so perhaps a little rough around the edges, ~ A scientifically religious and spiritual approach to our reality and how our perspective and thoughts create the environments of our social and physical humanity. including my thesis on the evolution of the big bang and life's energy cycles through eternity. To change your perspective is to change your life. The value of having a positive and progressive one is that the journey becomes more joyful and compassionate along the way. Humanity creates the mental and physical environments that we all collectively coexist in thus we must individually but collectively create a proper perspective and attitude before we can effectively make change in a constantly positive and beneficial direction. The key to happiness and proper attitude is our personal perspective, This only you can adjust. Compassion shown to another person is reflected back at you through karma and society. The real battle is with ourselves. When we can admit our own faults, we can solve the issues that affect our destination effectively and not arrogantly. By understanding the nature of matter and creation we can logically understand the connection between things that exist in our environment. From this knowledge of a continuous connection we can solve the problems of humanity, with Compassion, Physics, Logic, Mathematics, Philosophy, Metaphysics, and Theology in hand. We can do this as well as keeping our Equal rights to believe in our individual Religions. Evolution and Ecology are constantly advancing our practical applications in science and health. We have and will progress relevantly to the speed at which we can discover ourselves. Beneficial steps towards the progress of humanity and our future are continuously being made. But at times it seems the right hand does not keep the left up to date. This may, or may not be an intentional lack of control. But, It is thoughtless, and slows humanities progress no matter the cause. We should all work as a team and pass the ball around, so that everyone can enjoy the game. If you know what I mean.~
