The parable of the Prodigal Son speaks of the wayward son coming to his right mind while working among the pigs. Unfortunately, many people don't have a right mind to come to because they have not had Godly people in their lives to teach them what is right. Words like faith, hope, and love often don't have much meaning to people unless someone has provided them with examples. Ambassadors in the Making provides examples of what it means to follow Christ's commandments to serve, trust, and be generous. These examples allow people to reclaim the holy existence God has already given them. This book tells the stories of two ministries on opposite sides of the world that both transformed lives of individuals who were once spiritually lost. The transition houses, orphanages, schools, and hospitals in the ministries are considered Embassies of Heaven, outposts in a foreign land, staffed by Ambassadors for Christ. Readers will be inspired to become Ambassadors who partner with the Holy Spirit to enable the hurting souls around them to become all that they were created to be.

The idea of a connection between poetry and religion is as old as civilization. Homer consulted the Olympian gods on the fate of the fighters on the plain before Troy, and the poet made the heavenly ones speak. It was through poetry that the gods were brought within reach of human hearing. In the centuries after Homer, the Athenian stage became the setting where gods made their poetic interventions, resolving human impasses and contributing to the emotional synchronization of the public life of the city. Sloterdijk argues that, as with the culture of the Ancient Greeks, all religions inscribe a kind of “theopoetry” at the heart of their cultural life and thought, even as they strenuously obscure these poetic origins through the cultivation and enforcement of orthodox norms. Sloterdijk also shows how, in conditions of religious pluralism, religions poetically reshape themselves to accommodate the demands of the religious marketplace. This highly original study of the poetic devices that inform accounts of the otherworldly offers a new interpretation of religious practice and its theological elaboration through history, as well as a fresh perspective on our contemporary age in which collective life, interwoven with imaginative fabrications, is fraying under critical stress.

My name is Kevin Sullivan. I am the author of a NEW book series entitled: Heavens Ambassador. It is the most influential, thought-provoking, Christian book series of the 21st Century. I wrote this book for anyone who is interested in learning what it takes to become an Ambassador of Heaven. In case you didnt know, an Ambassador of Heaven is someone who: dominates the Father of Lies, discerns the deceitfulness of worldly wisdom, and actualizes the power of heavenly wisdom. In order to adequately address this topic, I wrote this book in 4 volumes. Volumes 1 and 2 admonishes the recklessness and foolishness of worldly wisdom. Volume 3 is a compilation of the main points of Volumes 1 and 2, which exposes the worthlessness of worldly wisdom. And Volume 4 reveals secrets to maintaining relationships with your spouse and children that are pleasing to God. My books are simple enough for a 5th grader to understand and deep enough for a Ph.D. student to embrace. Show your family some love and buy a few copies. They are the perfect empowerment tools for middle school, high school, and college bound family members; and make excellent birthday, graduation, and Christmas gifts.

"God had an only Son and He was a missionary." With these words, David Livingstone confirmed that he, too, would spend his life telling people in far-off lands about the love of God. This explorer, doctor, author, and missionary longed to see "the smoke of a thousand villages," because huddled around African tribal fires were people who might never hear the story of God's love unless missionaries obeyed God's call to serve Him. David Livingstone is one of 22 men and women whose exciting adventures will be enjoyed by the whole family. As you read each of these wonderful stories aloud during family times or on your own, you will see how you, too, can reach out to your world through deeds and prayer to tell others the good news about Jesus and His love.

Ingenuity in the Making explores the myriad ways in which ingenuity shaped the experience and conceptualization of materials and their manipulation in early modern Europe. Contributions range widely across the arts and sciences, examining objects and texts, professions and performances, concepts and practices. The book considers subjects such as spirited matter, the conceits of nature, and crafty devices, investigating the ways in which ingenuity acted in and upon the material world through skill and technique. Contributors ask how ingenuity informed the “maker’s knowledge” tradition, where the perilous borderline between the genius of invention and disingenuous fraud was drawn, charting the ambitions of material ingenuity in a rapidly globalizing world.
