DDS assures that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income, and Limited English Profi- ciency (LEP), be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity. The information contained in this publication is intended for motorcycle operators; it does not address all laws, restrictions, requirements and other issues that all highway users must know and observe in order to safely and responsibly operate a motor vehicle on Georgia's roadways. Motorcycle operators are also required to read and understand the information contained in the Georgia Drivers Manual. This manual is available from all Department of Drivers Services Customer Service Centers and may be viewed at the DDS website: http://dds.georgia.gov/dds-forms-rules-and-manuals. The information contained in this publication is offered for the benefit of those who have an interest in riding motorcycles. The information has been compiled from publications, interviews and observations of individuals and organizations familiar with the use of motorcycles, accessories, and training. Because there are many differences in product design, riding styles, federal, state and local laws, there may be organizations and individuals who hold differing opinions.
