After almost thirty years, it seems that the poetry part of God’s journey for me might be coming to a close. This will be the third and final book of His published poems. I do realize that I am just the loyal and loving servant that He chose to be one of His penman’s. The previous other two books, “From God’s Heart, to Mine, to Yours” and “More, From God’s Heart, to Mine, to Yours” have been well received and I have heard nothing but good and blessed comments about them, as I am sure with this one I will also. Besides being blessed to publish God’s poems, I am also blessed to present musical PowerPoint presentations to shut-ins. How awesome it is to be able to reach out with God’s Love and touch another soul in need. This part of the His journey for me will continue until He says, “Rest”. A Touch of Love, Through inspirational Poems by Carolyn S. Weaver Dealing with Post Menopause Depression, Carolyn S. Weaver began to hear voices that were more than the usual talking to yourself. These could not be controlled and progressively became worse. Speaking torment, cursing, lusting gestures, non-stop 24 hours, 7 days a week. Her rest came from exhaustion and confusion, not of her choice. Once diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Severe Paranoia, life has a different reality, another norm to adjust to. The long road of therapists, psychiatrists, drugs and emotions is still part of her life today. In 2002, Weaver’s oldest son died in an automobile accident. The following year her father did not survive a heart attack. Through it all, God has been ever present and magnified in her life, which inspired these writings. Weaver provides a glimpse into the natural mind of which God still moves. She wrote every day for ten years, this emotional journey. Hoping this will inspire one to know there is one greater than life that will be with you in your darkest hour.
Death visited our family early in my youth, taking my father without warning, exacting its toll of loss and grief on me, my mom, and four siblings, leaving us all emotionally scarred. We loved Dad and grieved bitterly, surviving with feelings of desolation and sorrow as our strong family circle was forever broken; my sister, ten years old, was unable to comprehend "why Dad left her." God's Angel of Death would visit my family, inflicting the pain of sorrow and loss repeatedly, and in the years to come I would lose my mother, sister, and two younger brothers. I would later become estranged from my own family through divorce, and relocation would sever relationships, uprooting me from my career, the old familiar places and faces, plunging me back into sadness and loneliness, grim reminders of loss from the not distant past. In the middle of the storms I lost my auditory senses and had to adapt to an entirely new world that introduced fear and rejection, and at one point of my life I became fearful of dying suddenly. I realized, too much later, that I never really was ever alone; God was always with me and he was keeping me here, carrying, guiding, strengthening me through every storm, giving my life direction again, restoring me full-circle to his purpose for me--writing to tell of his love. It took a while for me to understand God's grace, how he led me through the years of stormy darkness to a relationship with him through love and mercy that is unsurpassed; and, while I am still working on life, a great part of its purpose is to share my hope and faith and attest to God's love and grace, but most of all to bear witness to the triumphant, peaceful joy of walking, talking with, and listening to God along the valleys and mountaintops of life.
God has used me to be able to write down thoughts He has brought to my thinking. All I ever want to do is to please him. He has been so go to me, and sometimes even at night, I have to get up and start writing.
