This volume documents the ninth theological conference of the Church of England and the Evangelical Church in Germany held in London in January 2016 as part of their Meissen process. The two churches are committed to engage within the Meissen process in joint theological work which, on this occasion, focused on similarities and differences of their respective reformatory origins. The twelve conference papers also paradigmatically discuss the consequential impact that reformation movements have for the churches, for ecumenism and the churches' socio-political responsibilities today. Reformatory origins and evolving tasks merge in light of the upcoming Reformation anniversary of 2017.

Confessions of a Coward is a book intended to give men the freedom to acknowledge their fears and failures as men and more specifically as husbands and fathers. Once they find the strength to do so, they can then discover the path to courageous manhood. This is not a how-to book written from an "expert" perspective. This book does not give the answers but attempts to point men to the answers found in the grace, mercy, and truth of God. This is truly a confession of sorts and hopefully a road map out of the abyss of the cowardly lifestyle far too many Christian men are living today.

Lacey Baldwin Smith takes us on a riveting journey through history as he examines one of the most baffling characteristics of the human experience: the willingness to die to sanctify a deity, defend a cause, or simply to prove a point. By delving into the psyches, politics, and personalities of martyrs like Thomas Becket, John Brown, and Gandhi, he illuminates the complex and elusive subject of martyrdom as it has evolved over 2,500 years.
