Excerpt from Fifty-Third Annual Report of the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis, Mo: For the Year Ending June 30, 1907 The statutory requirement that the Board of Education shall cause to be printed and published a report of the con dition of the public schools under its charge, and of all the property under its control, with a full and accurate account of all the receipts and expenditures of the Board during the pre ceding year, and of the condition of all invested property is complied with through the several reports of the Superin tendent of Instruction, the Commissioner of Buildings, the Secretary and Treasurer and the Auditor which are published in connection with this report. But it is customary for the president of the Board to call the attention of the public to a summary of some of the more important facts which appear in detail from the several reports of these executive officers.
