DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe interpretation of the phrase 'the testimony of Jesus' in the Book of Revelation has been the centre of much debate, with no clear consensus regarding its meaning. One of the most important but often neglected issues is whether or not the phrase can be read consistently across each instance of its occurrence. The opening lines of the Apocalypse clearly specify that 'the testimony of Jesus' is a moniker for the book of Revelation itself, indicating that the phrase is an internal self-reference to the book's own message. Nevertheless, most interpreters are reluctant to apply this interpretation to the phrase in other parts of the book, leading to varied and inconsistent interpretations of the phrase. Following the intratextual pattern of the apocalyptic books of Daniel and 1 Enoch we can see that it is entirely possible that 'the testimony of Jesus' is a reference to Revelation's own message, an interpretation which is then supported by Dixon's in-depth study of each of the passages in which the phrase occurs. The exploration of the rhetorical impact of interpreting the phrase in this way shows that 'the testimony of Jesus' is not just another title for John's writing, but is something that is given to and even characterizes those who hear the message of the Apocalypse.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKHow does the Holy Spirit indwell the believer, and why should one seek that experience? In this collection of articles based on over twenty years' personal experience as well as academic study, the author, an ordained minister and seminary graduate, relates Spirit Baptism and spiritual gifts to their source, the exalted Jesus Christ. He describes this Exaltation of Christ and constructs a theory of how the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, drawing from psychology and medical science as well as Scripture. Finally, he proposes a new Theology of Exaltation that sees the whole sweep of church history as the ongoing glorification of Christ and Redemption of the world.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe Exaltation of Christ is a message of meditation based on the Bible and written by one of the most important Christian writers of all time. A devotional message of faith and hope for you. Charles Haddon (CH) Spurgeon,19 June 1834 - 31 January 1892) was a British Particular Baptist preacher. Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, among whom he is known as the "Prince of Preachers". He was a strong figure in the Reformed Baptist , defending the Church in agreement with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith understanding, and opposing the liberal and pragmatic theological tendencies in the Church of his day. It is estimated that in his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people,Spurgeon was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was part of several controversies with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and later had to leave the denomination. In 1867, he started a charity organisation which is now called Spurgeon's and works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him posthumously. Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, commentaries, books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Spurgeon produced powerful sermons of penetrating thought and precise exposition. His oratory skills held his listeners spellbound in the Metropolitan Tabernacle and many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKA study of the exaltation of Jesus Christ as Lord based primarily on Luke's NT writings. When Jesus ascended after the resurrection, God the Father exalted Him as Lord at His right hand. "Exalted Lord" focuses on the real-life implications of Jesus' exaltation especially in relation to His ultimate defeat of sin, unbelief, and death. "Exalted Lord" can be used in groups or for individual study. From the Preface: "Every true Christian believes that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. As important as these events are, they do not tell the whole story of Jesus. Following the resurrection, Jesus appeared on earth for forty days. On day forty, He ascended into heaven to be seated at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus " enthronement at the Father "s right hand marked the beginning of His exaltation as Lord of lords. His exaltation will culminate in His literal, bodily return to the earth, at which time He will utterly rout all of His enemies, making them His footstool.Presently, as our High Priest, Jesus is interceding for everyone who has believed on Him. As the exalted Lord of lords, Jesus also serves as a mighty general, orchestrating events on the battlefield that will lead someday to the utter defeat of all His enemies. Accordingly, even in the darkest of circumstances, we can be sure that the mighty Lord Jesus remains in control. He will win in the end. In the meantime, Jesus provides grace, power, meaning, and a sense of His presence so we might share in His victories."

DOWNLOAD EBOOKGate Crashers: The Offensive Church makes the case that God desires to work through the church to do abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, not because we deserve it, but for the praise, honor, and glory of his own name (Eph 3:20-21). Although much modern experience within the ranks of the professing church would cast doubt on this, the Scriptures reveal God's amazing plan and model for his church. While it may be true that our present system of church has drifted away from God's perfect design, the good news is that we can get back on track by submitting to his perfect will! Are you ready to get onboard the Offensive Church and become a gate crasher?

God has already exalted Christ, but have you exalted Him? Christ has been exalted in the universe, but has He been exalted in you?...I do not care to talk about the exaltation of Christ in an objective way, but to apply this to our subjective experience.”

DOWNLOAD EBOOKJohn Flavel shows Christ as our fountain of true joy: secured for his people by his humiliation and his exaltation. By humiliation, Flavel means the incarnation - Christ’s birth, ministry, and death - by exaltation he means the four stages of resurrection, ascension, intercession, and His return in judgment. Flavel shows this twofold act (humiliation and exaltation) is the foundation of our joy because through them Christ has removed our debt and secured our inheritance. “The believer knows,” says Flavel, “that however sweet his communion with Christ is in this world, yet that communion he will have with Christ in heaven will far excel it.” Table of Contents: Christ’s Humiliation A Humble Life A Prayer of Commendation A Commemorative Sign Christ’s Agony The Nature of Christ’s Death A Lonely Death A Lowly Death A Prayer for Forgiveness A Promise of Salvation A Cry of Forsakenness A Cry of Anguish The Completion of Christ’s Work Christ’s Burial The Blessed Ends of Christ’s Humiliation Christ’s Exaltation Christ’s Resurrection Christ’s Ascension Christ’s Present Session Christ’s Triumphant Return
