Lost in Las Vegas captures a woman's journey to some famous and not-so-famous locations throughout Downtown Las Vegas, with some brief history and untold stories mixed in. She travels with her most prized possessions: her fabulous wardrobe and vintage jewels.She wanders through the city dressed to resemble the era of each location, styled in some of my favorite designs from my women's eveningwear line, along with vintage accessories from my mother's closet.The process of making this book has been a labor of love for more than two years. The concept was sparked by my own journey, as well as by my fascination with the Rat Pack, Atomic and Glitter Gulch eras. I wanted to capture the rich Las Vegas history that is often overshadowed by its reputation as the entertainment capital of the world. I decided to share a humble side of Las Vegas from a local's perspective through my designs and art.I brushed up on my local history and took notes on some of the most memorable historical locations throughout Downtown. With my dog by my side, I scouted more than thirty locations, then narrowed them down to twenty-five, which are used as the backdrop for each photograph. All the locations were captured throughout a four-day photo shoot with a local team, all top talents in their fields.Lost in Las Vegas is a reminder that feeling lost isn't always a misfortune, that it is in such moments that we find ourselves. Our weaknesses become our strengths and our mistakes become our lessons. As you follow her journey, her story becomes your own, as we all have felt lost at some point in our lives.
