Spatial features include the moat space, the parade ground within Battery Weed, and the overlook Space. Circulation features include the mine railway, overlook promenade, Battery Weed Road, and the dock road. Panoramic views from the overlook and waterfront are also contributing features. Buildings and structures include Battery Weed, the Torpedo Storage Building, the second mine casemate, Battery Catlin parados (magazine), the overlook stone wall, concrete block garage, small concrete shed, north dock, seawall, Battery Bacon north gun emplacement, the Coincident range-finder (crf) station, and slope retaining wall. Topographic features that define the historic character of the landscape include the engineered Slope above Battery Weed, and the earthworks of Batteries Catlin and Bacon. Contributing vegetation features include the Specimen trees along Battery Weed Road and Hudson Road, and the parade ground lawn. Small-scale features include the parade ground munitions pads.
