In preparing the Third Edition, it has been our aim to make it as complete as possible, by increasing the number of woodcuts, and adding all the most meritorious new species and varieties of Stove and Greenhouse Flowering Plants up to the present time; we have also added some cuts of Greenhouses, &c., from which our readers will be able to gain ideas as to the arrangement of their plants, and the forms in which they should be trained for exhibition or decorative purposes; these additions have greatly increased the size and cost of production of the work, and we have been reluctantly compelled to raise the price to 7/6, which we feel certain our readers will not object to.
