This book has a fundamental objective. The objective of this research is divided into general objectives and specific objectives. The general objective is to analyze the impact of the economic cooperation programs of the United States on the economic development of Ivory Coast in order to make recommendations and propose solutions and prospects to strengthen the promotion of the economic cooperation of Ivory Coast with the United States. Specifically, this research is focused on evaluating the effect of American trade programs (AGOA, BIT, BUILD Act, AWEP, Prosper Africa and Power Africa) in order to allow Ivory Coast and all the eligible African countries to derive maximum benefit from these programs and to assess the effect of the competitive presence of the United States, China, and the European Union for the economic development of the Ivory Coast.

" Southeast Asia has become a hotbed of strategic rivalry between China and theUnited States. China is asserting its influence in the region through economic statecraft and far-reaching efforts to secure its sovereignty claims in the South China Sea, while the United States has promoted a Free and Open Indo-Pacific strategy that explicitly challenges China's expanding influence—warning other countries that Beijing is practicing predatory economics and advancing governance concepts associated with rising authoritarianism in the region. In this timely volume, leading experts from Southeast Asia, Australia, and the United States assess these great power dynamics by examining the strategic landscape, domestic governance trends, and economic challenges in Southeast Asia, with the latter focusing especially on infrastructure. The post-cold war era presented security challenges that at one level are a continuation of the cold war era; at another level, these phenomena manifested in new forms. Whether the issues of economics and trade, transfer of technologies, challenges of intervention, or humanitarian crisis, the countries of the South (previously pejoratively labelled “Third World” or “developing” countries) have continued to address these challenges within the framework of their capabilities and concerns.
